Formed from locally dug clay in Nagano and fired to a deep charcoal tone, this vessel carries the quiet density of earth after rain. Its rounded body narrows into a grounded base, giving it a gentle, ancient presence. Tai Ono uses excavated soils layered with natural ash, creating subtle tonal shifts that reveal themselves in changing light. Perfect as a single-stem vase, an object for contemplation, or a sculptural centrepiece in the home. From the Chikei Series (地景シリーズ or earth-landscape).
